The participants of 2010 Class of the Illinois Ag Leadership Foundations Illinois Ag Leadership Program were charged with the task of developing class projects to educate the public and consumers about the importance of production agriculture.  Agri-Business Director Meghan Grebner's group has had the opportunity to reach out to the consumer through radio spots on 1470 WMBD's Greg and Dan Show the week of January 25th at 8:10 each morning.  Greg and Dan spoke to each of the group members about their specialty in the ag industry.  The uniqueness of each member of the group spanned all different sectors of agriculture and allowed consumers a small portrait into the diversity that is the American agriculture.

All of us at Classic Country 1290 WIRL are like Martha Stewart... We like a "Good Thing".  So when we find a "Good Thing" we want to share it.  We've been Twittering for the past year or so.  I am growing to love it more and more every day.  On Tuesdays there is #agchat.  Now for those that don't "Tweet" it is something that will grow on you as you utilize it more.  I've gotten to know a dairy farmer from Alabama.  Will Gilmer is 30 years old and utilizes social media like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to educate consumers about Dairy Production.  His new video is called "Water N Poo".  It's about.. Well - I'm sure you can figure that out.  Take a couple of minutes to view Will's creativity... and gift.*smiles*  Oh, and you can find him on YouTube by clicking HERE... or on Twitter as @gilmerdairy.
